Dog may have allergies. Not sure if food or otherwise …?

I have my dog to the vet weeks 4 to try to figure out Houwe set my dogs chewing their paws and caudal region. The first time I better try Benadryl (a few months) and that did not help so we made an appointment. Since it was not so bad (compared to other dogs and allergies) decided to start with tests of foods. He has been eating Purina HA (hypoallergenic) formula of the last four weeks and I have not seen any sign of improvement. Allergy testing is the next step, but I just want to make sure we're taking the number Total time to clarify whether a food allergy. Has anyone else been through this with your dog? The vet said to try this for 6-8 weeks. "It takes so long for you to tell the difference? Or was it faster? Just looking for previous experience with this. Thanks!

For an elimination diet which takes about three months to be sure. My advice to you would take your dog out of the "prescription" diets, and go high quality. Allergy testing only will provide the environment, airborne allergies. I did, and was very helpful, and gave me a better way to do that antihistmine Benadryl. I would go for food rich in proteins SOLA – for example: 1 meat, 1 carbohydrate and Fish – and the potato is an example, and very popular in the world of allergy "(Between dogs)
